Don’t change yourself. Unfold instead.

“Influence activates your subconscious complexes, which take over your moods and perceptions. Instead of reacting to the reality of what you see, you react automatically to the subconscious process set off by what you see”

The subconscious mind’s worst enemy is conscious awareness. However the stronger of the two is your subconscious mind and for a couple of reasons.

One, it remembers everything, each slight variation of your experienced life and it has habitualized itself in patterns through your reactions in life. Nature, nurture, environment, and so forth.

Two, it has embedded a conditioned state of your brains mechanism and thus taken over control of your reactive states which cannot be solved on the same level that they were created because the complexities of any functioning brain are just unable to be resolved.

The understanding that you can change yourself leaves a sour taste in anyone’s mouth. We think we can change but we really can’t.

We can only unfold new perspectives and undersandings.

Stephen Covey says that the space between impulse and response is conscious awareness.

We can’t control what is buried within us, but we can surely observe it when the reaction comes by then responding to it based on the understanding that we are unfolding a new perspective in real time.

There is no right or wrong when it comes to our subconscious beliefs but there is that understanding it is what it is.

Sometimes when we see ourselves in a frustrating position we must accept and allow it to surface, the notion is that the subconsciuos mind is letting us know that we are reacting because of those variables that have created you and who you are.

Subconscious beliefs are meant to be understood rather then known, the delicate patterns of any subconscious mind is way to vast and varied to take grasp of it in contemplation, it surfaces at it’s time.

For example, you might not like something at that moment when you feel it, you know that the subconscious mind is saying..”you believe it” can you change it by being conscious of it?

No. but what you can do is unfold a new perspective of understanding that it was at that moment that you realized it. It will then create a new pattern and that pattern will unfold a new perspective and that perspective will be shown to you in various “real world” experiences.

I can’t change a thing about myself, i can’t change my experience of the past, nor do i want to. I want like anybody else to be able to say that I have learned and grown from the moment of being conscious of that belief and to say that I finally acknowledge it on a conscious level and then let it go.

What happens is that the pattern, the habit is gone, it has taken on a new course and a new dimension of life. Something you thought you knew becomes new.

That new will delight you and you will continue to unfold new perspectives and experiences that no longer will be affected by a reactive state of the subconscious mind.

Life is a flow, thus we can’t change the flow, we can only unfold it by flowing with it. No resistance. Just acceptance and allowance of life itself.

By saying, i can’t change, you say I am unfolding perfectly. The notion that you are always learning and growing will then show you that unfolding is a perfect process. You can’t judge it, rather accept it for what it is and watch how the grip hold will let you go.

New neurons will be created in the brain. That will create new illusions that you will be attentive to. Thus unfolding a new dimension.

One place where you will see it is in people you are surrounded with. If you see yourself react to someone you don’t like, be conscious of it understand that it’s your subconscious mind that made a pattern of belief around it and now you say, i am aware of it, and then watch a new perspective come from it.

By choosing to do so, you then don’t change the situation, you unfold a new perspective of the situation. Allowing you to grow from that moment of realization and onwards to new perspectives.

    • Wow, I think you will be a great OB. It seems like you have a real love for children, fimilaes, and people in general. Sad to say that those qualities are rare traits in todays world. I believe not just anyone should be in just any job because you could be in a job that you hate and end up making everyone who comes in contact with you at work miserable. You have the joy and care to be great at your job and effect those you will be working around not only by your knowledge , but by your love for what you do.

    • To the Couple,I am sending my most helrtfeat wishes for a lasting and growing love. I hope that you will always be able to find new things to admire and respect one another for. To Megan, I assure that the family you have chosen to join consists of warmhearted and humorous people, dear to me, whom I have deep gratitude towards. They gave me support and understanding through the confusion and turmoil of losing my Father. They have been unhesitant when including me in their family. Know that they welcome will you with the same ease. Even though we have met just a few times I can see that you are a genuine and enthusiastic person. I hope that we will see more of each other over the years and that we can be friends, some day we will very likely be sisters in law. I also wish to thank Matheson for his part in welcoming me into his family. You have always been kind and generous to me. I could always tell that you possess an innate creativity and imagination. I hope that you have found a passion and direction for it. Once again I am wishing the two of you happiness, and perhaps more importantly, endurance through every hardship, because it appears to me that happiness comes easily between the two of you, your fondness for one another is thus apparent.Sincere Congratulation,Carmen

    • About 6 months ago I met this woman at a party my faehtr’s friend was hosting, well it wasn’t really a party more of a reunion with cocktails. Anyway, I really like her and she liked me so I asked her if she wanted to have dinner the following week, and she said yes. Now we’ve been dating for a while and recently I’ve began to worry that she might be using me for my money. Now to clarify, I’m not rich per se, but she might think I am, I live in one of the most expensive houses in our city, and it’s not a tiny town, but more medium sized and my house has been featured in local magazines from time to time and is valued at around 9 million dollars. But here’s the thing. I didn’t buy that home, my god I don’t even have 9 million dollars. I inherited it from my grandmother, and despite me being single and the house being ridiculously large, I just could not bring myself to sell it, I mean my grandmother loved it and I felt like it was a piece of my family’s history, and that’s something that money cannot give you. So I kept it and decided to live in it. But I only pay for the taxes and upkeep of it, and I mostly use the money my grandmother inherited for that. But from time to time people have believed I’m very rich because of the house, and that’s caused trouble in relationships, for example, last year this woman I was seeing wanted for me to pay a vacation to a very luxurious hotel in Dubai for a week, and it was 10,000 Dollars a night! and I said no and she broke up with me. So anyway, like I said although I would consider myself upper middle class (I earn around 150,000-170,000 a year), I’m not rich and I hate it when people try to take advantage of me. The reason I’m starting to think she is, is because she’s always wanting to go to the most expensive restaurants in town, where frankly I hate going, I’d much rather go to a buffet or a diner that those places, and my god the bill is always so high, like $250 dollars each time! and she likes to go every week and orders really expensive dishes and mixed drinks. I find myself ordering just a salad or something and a beer just so the price isn’t that high. Also when I first met her closest friends, she lied to them about me and right in front of my face. Since her friends knew that I lived in the house I live in and she probably told them I was rich, she made me go to a suit store and buy a 1000 dollar suit and an expensive watch (honestly I’m fine with my regular people clothes and just wearing bracelets and using the clock on my phone) and since I don’t drive a fancy car (I drive a 2008 Honda & a 2003 Toyota which I love) when we got to her friend’s party she told them that my Mercedez was getting fixed. That really upset me. I don’t care if people make fun of my car! and I really think my cars are way better that some fancy car where you only pay for the name. I felt really angry because I could tell she was really trying to show me off or something, and also during that party I wanted to drink a beer, but she said to only drink wine! I don’t get why!Anyway, am I just being paranoid here? I really like her because when we are alone she is really sweet and doesn’t seem shallow, but sometimes she does, and I’m just not sure. for example, 2 weeks ago we went to Miami and Orlando on vacation and I could tell she was upset that I didn’t book the most expensive suite. So what should I do? Should I tell her my concerns? I’m worried though because I don’t want her thinking I’m cheap which I’m not, but I just want her to know that I’m not really rich like she thinks. It might also be her age though, I’m 32 years old and she’s 25, so she’s still in a bit of an immature phase. Please tell me your thoughts.

    • July 24, 2012 at 1:24 pmFor the past couple mohnts my boyfriend has been acting really strange. I’m 19 and he is 26 and have been dating for nearly two years but it is just recently he’s been acting strangely. Him and his family are from China, and they would kill him if he even smoked. As far as I know the most he has done is marijuana (years back), and he knows someone I know died from an OD and that my father was a dealer etc. so I’m not into drugs. Although recently he RANDOMLY mentioned that he doesn’t like Britain because they brought opiates to China and made a lot of addicts. Anyways, here is what I’ve noticed: *Sometimes I call him while he is at school and he’ll pick up the phone and act really quiet and then call me back around 30 minutes-an hour later and will act really happy and today for instance he kept giggling for no reason. *He has low tolerance to alcohol, and has been drinking one bottle of wine nearly everyday to get drunk recently as well. *2-3 times per week he doesn’t come home and stays at a friends (different each time). *Recently he has also taken up social smoking and comes home smelling VERY strongly of cigarettes (my ex smoked 14-15 cigarettes per day and even he didn’t smell that strongly). *He hardly eats anymore. I eat more than he does (I’m 100 pounds so I’m not a big girl), although he hasn’t lost much weight. *He likes to sleep a lot and doesn’t like going out much anymore except for at around 11:00-12:00 at night sometimes he’ll take a walk alone. *He switches between being extremely talkative to extremely quiet and seems to develop obsessions towards certain small ideas (esp. buying and selling Xbox 360 stuff). *He seems to have hot flashes or something because he will complain it is hot one minute, and cold the next. *A couple nights ago I was on the computer with my electric blanket and he was taking another long nap and woke up and started trying to break the temperature dial to my blanket in half and then went back to sleep. *My boyfriend has also lost contact with good friends and is making new friends instead. I find this odd, because he had a very nice friend (although he dealt LIGHT drugs) for instance who allowed my boyfriend to live with him for a year for free just to help my boyfriend out and I asked how this friend was doing and my boyfriend didn’t even care. *He gets overly emotional, like today he called me on the phone and sounded like he was about to cry because some guy didn’t believe that he knew someone. He keeps telling me he is unhappy (but not because of me) but because of paying for school (he had full-paid scholarships up until this year he is on his 3rd degree). There is a lot of drug activity where we live, and I am really worried by my boyfriend’s behavior. My question is does is sound like my boyfriend is using a particular drug? Thank you so much!!! ^__^ Thanks Hanna for the real answer. That’s what I was thinking a lot of upper/downer stuff going on so that’s why I asked here. Maybe it is psychological. :/

    • Unfortunately, a lot of those people who claim they can hzonptiye you also refer to hypnosis as a school of psychology. It is not. These people are hacks. Hypnotizing someone is rarely, if ever, possible. And of the people who say they were successfully hzonptiyed, they are more than likely playing along. A lot of those people *want* to believe they were hzonptiyed. Most of the time, when whatever was trying to be achieved was achieved, it’s because the subjects already had a strong desire to be successful. Example, when using hypnosis as an effort to quit smoking, stop drinking, or lose weight (those are the big three) are successful, those people already made the commitment to succeed. Hypnosis more than likely gives them accountability by way of reminder. Now, if you want hypnotic feeling, there are a number of meditation methods you can do to relax. These are sometimes considered hypnotic methods but they are actually meditations or simple breathing exercises.

    • I read this forum, and more then 90% of people here don’t like BNI. My bunsiess is currently in BNI and I was so/so on BNI until a recent incident. My membership is coming up and when it is due I don’t think I will renew it. I will give you specifics of the ridiculousness of BNI and my experience at a future time once I’m out. I’m sorry for being vague right now. What I will say is if your thinking about joining BNI, then don’t do it (in my humble opinion). If you’re thinking about leaving then you’re likely making the right choice if you don’t want to waste your time and be disappointed. I did the math and we make $14.54 an hour from BNI. Don’t waste your time and money to deal with high school like social clubs, clicks, and politics for a low hourly wage for your bunsiess. I will show you a BNI rule that had I read it BEFORE membership, I would of NEVER joined. 13. In case of problems with a member, Membership Committees may, at their sole discretion, put a member on probation relating to the member’s bunsiess practices or commitment to the chapter.I would NEVER give anyone other then me “sole discretion” on anything relating to my bunsiess for $14.54 an hr. Sole discretion is so vague and a big grey area, meaning no rules, no rights, in my humble opinion. This is a deal breaker to me, and I fault myself for not catching it BEFORE I got involved with BNI. I look forward to letting you all know the shady keep all members semi happy in a disagreement (so we keep all the members money in renewals and dues) instead of look at the facts attitude of BNI. I know in court this would have been an easy case, but BNI has to attempt to fault everyone which ironically only pisses off both parties. I’m not upset with my BNI chapter, however I know corporate BS when I see it, and I’m part of it which to me is unacceptable for my standards. I will give you the story to add to this blog once I’m out of BNI since I want to leave in good standing because I never want to burn bridges and don’t see that to be productive way out of anything I’ve ever joined in life. I don’t care if I do bunsiess with people in BNI or not, however I do believe we have GOOD people in our chapter. I just think the BNI system is a broken one. I started my own bunsiess to get out of corporate politics, and broken corporate systems. Now after joining BNI, I’m now in worst BS politics then that was at corporations I worked for, and I’m paying for it in time and money. BNI isn’t kicking me out or putting me on probation with their “sole discretion” however I was seeing if my logic against BNI is felt elsewhere and this forum made this known loud and clear. Good forum Grumpy, and you have very legitimate points and issues about the BNI system.

    • July 24, 2012 at 1:24 pmThis article was on the Timesonline. I’ve cut and pstaed it on here. From The Sunday TimesOctober 7, 2007Muslim medical students get pickyDaniel Foggo and Abul Taher Some Muslim medical students are refusing to attend lectures or answer exam questions on alcohol-related or sexually transmitted diseases because they claim it offends their religious beliefs. Some trainee doctors say learning to treat the diseases conflicts with their faith, which states that Muslims should not drink alcohol and rejects sexual promiscuity.A small number of Muslim medical students have even refused to treat patients of the opposite sex. One male student was prepared to fail his final exams rather than carry out a basic examination of a female patient. The religious objections by students have been confirmed by the British Medical Association (BMA) and General Medical Council (GMC), which both stressed that they did not approve of such actions.Related Links Fear of offending is killing our culture It will intensify the debate sparked last week by the disclosure that Sainsbury’s is permitting Muslim checkout operators to refuse to handle customers’ alcohol purchases on religious grounds. It means other members of staff have to be called over to scan in wine and beer for them at the till.Critics, including many Islamic scholars, see the concessions as a step too far, and say Muslims are reneging on their professional responsibilities. This weekend, however, it emerged that Sainsbury’s is also allowing its Muslim pharmacists to refuse to sell the morning-after pill to customers. At a Sainsbury’s store in Nottingham, a pharmacist named Ahmed declined to provide the pill to a female reporter posing as a customer. A colleague explained to her that Ahmed did not sell the pill for “ethical reasons”. Boots also permits pharmacists to refuse to sell the pill on ethical grounds. The BMA said it had received reports of Muslim students who did not want to learn anything about alcohol or the effects of overconsumption. “They are so opposed to the consumption of it they don’t want to learn anything about it,” said a spokesman. The GMC said it had received requests for guidance over whether students could “omit parts of the medical curriculum and yet still be allowed to graduate”. Professor Peter Rubin, chairman of the GMC’s education committee, said: “Examples have included a refusal to see patients who are affected by diseases caused by alcohol or sexual activity, or a refusal to examine patients of a particular gender.”He added that “prejudicing treatment on the grounds of patients’ gender or their responsibility for their condition would run counter to the most basic principles of ethical medical practice”.Shazia Ovaisi, a GP in north London, said one of her male Muslim contemporaries at medical school failed to complete his training because he refused to examine a woman patient as part of his final exams.“He was academically gifted, one of the best students, but gradually he got in with certain Islamic groups and started to become more radical,” said Ovaisi.“You could see there was a change in his personality as time went by. During the final exams he was supposed to treat a female patient in hospital. He refused to do it, even though it would have been a very basic examination, nothing intrusive.“But he refused and as a result he failed his exams. I was quite shocked and disappointed about it because I don’t see there being anything in our religion that prohibits us from examining male and female patients.”Both the Muslim Council of Britain and Muslim Doctors and Dentist Association said they were aware of students opting out but did not support them.Dr Abdul Majid Katme, of the Islamic Medical Association, said: “To learn about alcohol, to learn about sexually transmitted disease, to learn about abortion, it gives us more evidence to campaign against it. There is a difference between learning and practising.“It is obligatory for Muslim doctors and students to learn about everything. The prophet said, ‘Learn about witchcraft, but don’t practise it’.” My opinion is that if they are not willing to treat every patient equally they should be thrown out of medical school. ARFURCHANCE I totally agree with you. My father fought in the war too. They all fought for freedom, but we are not the ones who are not free to say what we want. This country acts as if it is under Muslim rule. I wonder what would happen if a white doctor working in a Muslim country refused to treat one of their patients? RIG66MAN A truer word was never spoken. DAWLEYMOUSE Apology accepted. I was shocked and angry when I read it. ITELLICAT What a load of drivel. How on earth can you qualify as a doctor if you are not going to treat everyone. The code of practice in medicine is that you treat everyone the same. Even if the way they live their lives offends you. I once had to nurse a paedophile and it made me sick to the bones to go near him, but I had to treat him and try and forget who he was. And the answers that you don’t like shouldn’t scare you .the people of Britain are all angry about this and that is OUR opinion NOT the papers. TOI ET MOI if you find my additional details not to your liking then don’t read them. They are my opionion which in this country is still allowed. yes a work for the nhs and not this is not a heap of drivel. i could tell you a lot more about what goes on in the nhs regards to muslim rights being respected but not ours. in fact i will put that in my next question. PLATO the opt out of the abortion clause was totally different. That was the taking of a life these doctors are not being asked to do that, they are simply being asked to do their job which is saving lives.
